James E. Gore

Upon graduating from the University of Dayton with degrees in finance and accounting, Jim joined the founding partners of Fund Evaluation Group, Inc. (FEG) in January of 1986. Jim spent several years with FEG, the last four as their Chief Operating Officer. He was heavily involved with several large institutional retirement plans and private foundations, making recommendations on the selection of investment managers overseeing multi-million dollar accounts. His responsibilities included asset allocation studies, investment manager database, and investment strategy consulting. In 1992, Jim founded THOR Investment Management, Inc. with only a single client. Today, Jim serves as the Chief Investment Officer of THOR, is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, a Charter Alternative Investment Analyst, a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), a member of the Association For Investment Management and Research (AIMR) and a member of the Cincinnati Society of Financial Analysts.
Mark F. Kleespies
Mark joined THOR Investment Management as a shareholder in 1997, after having been a client for four (4) years prior to his employment at THOR. Mark has an MBA in finance from Xavier University and an engineering degree from the University of Dayton. He spent 13 years in various engineering capacities before joining THOR. Mark is a member of the investment committee at THOR, is currently studying for his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) license, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Mark enjoys basketball, snow skiing and spending time with his family.
Gregory C. Luke, ESQ.
Greg joined THOR Investment Management as a shareholder in 2002. Greg obtained his bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance, cum laude, from Wright State University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the Ohio State University College of Law. Prior to joining THOR, Greg spent 12 years in the private practice of law, the last three of which were as a member (partner) of the law firm Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC. During his tenure as a practicing lawyer, Greg’s practice was concentrated in business and estate planning, charitable giving and estate administration. Greg is a member of the investment committee at THOR. He enjoys golf, coaching his children and spending time with his family.
Jenna serves as the Operations Manager for THOR. She is responsible for client reporting and billing, account maintenance and managing the operations of the company. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, she has called Cincinnati home since 1998. Prior to joining THOR, she served as a recruiter for several leading companies in the staffing and recruiting industry. She attended East Tennessee State University and is an avid sports fan. She and her husband, Tony, have three girls, Reagan, Adison, and Ellis, who keep them quite busy. Admits Jenna: “My hobbies are essentially running my kids everywhere!” Jenna also enjoys traveling to visit family.
Allisha joined the THOR team in 2005. She has served in various capacities in her tenure at THOR, as an investment analyst, an Investment Committee member and currently as a Wealth Manager. She is THOR’s key point person responsible for THOR’s business partnership with Charles Schwab’s Advisor Network Program. Allisha obtained a BA in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Miami University in 1991. She earned her MBA with a concentration in Finance from Xavier University in 1999. Prior to joining THOR, Allisha worked as an Investment Consultant for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for nine years. Allisha and her husband reside in the Village of Glendale and have three boys.
Susy joined THOR as a Client Service Specialist in June of 2010. Prior to joining THOR, she worked for a major Property and Casualty insurance carrier as a Network Administrator and at Riverbend Music Center as the Sponsorship Coordinator. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in communications. She was a member of the varsity swimming team and Chi Omega Sorority. Susy and her husband, Tim, reside in Pierce Township with their two children, Savannah and Adam.
P.J. originally joined THOR in July of 2004 and left in January 2008 to pursue her BS in Psychology. Upon graduation she rejoined THOR in October of 2009. Prior to coming to THOR she worked in the banking industry for eight years. Outside of work P.J. enjoys taking care of her husband and two children, teaching bible school, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
Jimmy graduated from The University of Dayton in May 2012 with an MBA. Prior to receiving his MBA, Jimmy received a bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting from UD. Jimmy is originally from Minster, Ohio, a small town located one hour north of Dayton. Jimmy has a passion for the investment business and a thirst for knowledge in the global markets. In his free time, Jimmy enjoys golf, basketball, reading, music, and spending time with family and friends.
Andrew has been with THOR since graduating from The University of Dayton in 2012, where he double majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship. He is from Cincinnati, growing up in Blue Ash and graduating from Sycamore High School. Andrew has a passion for financial markets, business, and the global economy. He currently lives in Hyde Park where he likes spending time with friends, golfing, and generally staying active.
Andy joined the THOR team in 2013 after graduating cum laude from the University of Cincinnati in Accounting. A lifelong Cincinnati resident, Andy grew up in Anderson Township just down the street from THOR’s office and graduated from McNicholas High School. Andy is a member of the investment committee at THOR. Outside of the office, Andy enjoys spending time with friends and family, being active outdoors, and playing sports.
Maria P. Barrett, CPA
Maria joined THOR’s Wealth Management Team in 2014 after having been a client for almost 20 years.
She is a Certified Public Accountant and started her own accounting and consulting practice 20 years ago after working for both international and local accounting firms. Maria has a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of Dayton.
Maria is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs, as well as Past President of the Cincinnati Women’s Society of CPAs. A passion for financial literacy led to her becoming a volunteer classroom instructor for Junior Achievement and Accounting for Kids Day. Maria and her husband Mike live in Cincinnati and have two children in college.
